Hybrid meetings have become more common as business professionals return to work. Some participants attend hybrid meetings in person and others virtually from home or another location. EMEET has invented the Meeting Capsule, which provides the best user experience for the attendants & virtual participants.

What is the Meeting Capsule?

Meeting Capsule has a 1080P resolution, 30FPS, 360° conference camera for remote face-to-face meetings and 5 modes to meet the needs of different circumstances. The Meeting Capsule is ready to use with its plug-and-play technology with no additional hardware required. Once the Meeting Capsule is placed and plugged in, it will automatically connect to your computer, as Meeting Capsule has universal compatibility with different software.

The conference room camera can detect who is talking with AI voice tracking and focus on who is speaking, automatically zooming in on the speaker. It also has the ability to pick up voices in any direction, and, with a voice IA noise reduction algorithm, Meeting Capsule will efficiently filter out disturbing background noises.

5 types of conferencing modes

1. Collaboration mode

Collaboration mode is suitable for hybrid meetings, a 360° panoramic view of the entire meeting room is shown at the lower bottom of the screen, and at the top is the current speaker screen (3 current speakers max can be displayed simultaneously). The Meeting Capsule will automatically enable the multi-modal AI algorithm of voice recognition, face capture and auto-focusing.

2. Speech mode

Speech mode is identical to collaboration mode; it has a 360° panoramic view of the meeting room and is shown at the bottom of the screen. But at the top of the screen, there is only 1 speaker that will be shown at a time. The Meeting Capsule will also automatically enable the multi-modal AI algorithm of voice recognition, face capture and auto-focusing.

3. Classic mode

Classic mode is 180° wide-angle mode. It accommodates the picture in front of the lens, but the mode does not provide AI automatic face capture and does not enlarge the images. You can adjust the wide angle between 180°/120°/60° by using the remote control and adjust the display position by clicking the direction buttons.

4. Spotlight mode

Spotlight mode is a standard webcam mode; it has a default viewing angle of 65° and accommodates the 65° picture in front of the lens. But the mode does not provide AI automatic face capture and does not enlarge the images.

5. InPrivate mode

For the InPrivate mode, the microphone and images are fully disabled to protect user's privacy.

How to set up Meeting Capsule?

Conference Room Camera Meeting Capsule

A high-quality conference room camera device with different functions may have lengthy setup procedures and complicated operating switches. But you can set up the Meeting Capsule in a simple and user-friendly process.

Step 1:Place your Meeting Capsule in a correct place

The Meeting Capsule has 5 different conferencing modes, which makes it suitable for multiple scenarios ranging from large conference rooms to personal home offices. According to different usage scenarios, the optimal setup is as follows.

1. Board Rooms:

To get the most out of the Meeting Capsule in board rooms, here are some factors that need to be considered.

For brainstorming or discussions where there will be more than one active speaker, it is recommended to place the Meeting Capsule at the center of the conference room table, 1-3 meters away from the attendees, then choose the Collaboration mode for an immersive collaborative experience.

For training or presentation where there will be only one active speaker, it is also recommended to place it at the center of the conference room table, 1-3 meters away from the attendees, then choose the Speech mode that focuses on one active speaker.

*The recommended distance can be adjusted by yourself according to the specific situation.

2. Medium Rooms:

For medium rooms where there are fewer attendees, it is recommended to place the Meeting Capsule at the end of the conference room table or mount it on a tripod, then choose the Classic mode, which provides a 180° wide-angle image with every attendee included. You can also choose the Collaboration mode or speech mode based on your current situation and needs.

3. Huddle Rooms:

If there is only one attendee doing video conferencing in a huddle room, we recommend placing the Meeting Capsule directly in front of you or any angle that suits you best at a distance of around 60cm and choosing the Spotlight mode that focuses on a certain field of view of 65°. You can also choose the Collaboration mode or speech mode based on your current situation and needs.

4.  Home Offices:

For personal home offices, we alike recommend placing the Meeting Capsule directly in front of you or any angle that suits you best at a distance of around 60cm, choosing the Spotlight mode, which is specially intended for personal use.

Step 2:Connect your power & USB

The Meeting Capsule will be automatically calibrated and ready to use when the power plug is plugged in and connected to a computer by a USB wire.

Step 5:Start your hybrid meetings

Following the steps from above will aid you in setting up a hybrid meeting in a short period, but there is a lot more detailed info that you can find in: The FAQ of EMEET Meeting Capsule.

The Meeting Capsule does not need to connect to wifi or download apps on the phone to operate. Also, the Meeting Capsule has no storage function, so you can reassure that the Meeting Capsule will capture no meeting audio or video. It will protect your meeting privacy or any confidential information. (Please visit Meeting Capsule's official website for a more detailed description)

Conclusion

We have become accustomed to remote working, so moving to hybrid working can be challenging. However, communication is crucial when setting up your meeting room to make everyone feel included and a part of the team.
